HABITATIONS IN A TOWERSILO IN THE HARBOUR OF COPENHAGEN

Analyses of applying the silo as apartments.

An abandoned silo in the Copenhagen Harbour area has been sucessfully converted to modern apartments during 2001-2004. At the outset of the project there was some doubt as to whether the existing structure was strong enough to accommodate the new use. Erik Reitzel carried out a structural appraisal and found that it was possible to convert the existing structure within  certain restraints.
